It's not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow.

I Corinthians 3:7 NLT

Soon, Morning Star will be breaking ground on expanding, enclosing, revamping, and refurbishing our existing building. All this work will add 130 seats to our Sanctuary, enclosing our patio for a larger common area, adding one classroom and two offices, and the installation of a new fire sprinkler system.

The most exciting of all, will be the addition of nine stained glass windows!

Amazing Journey

Soon, Morning Star will start an amazing journey of transformation. Enlargement of worship space, construction of new mission and classroom space, enclosing a larger space to gather in fellowship, and the repurposing of stained glass windows from St. Paul's UMC Hobbs, NM.

We are excited to include you on this journey.

Invite

and Inspire

Through worship in this sacred space we will connect with God and experience the message of redemption and hope through Jesus Christ. Our journey of knowing, loving and serving God doesn’t end in the sanctuary. We continue to grow in our faith through classes, groups, service and fellowship. The renovation of the current sanctuary will make this possible.

Tools for

Ministry

Buildings are only tools for ministry, but the right tools are essential for ministries to continue to be vital and have impact in the future. We believe God will use Morning Star to change the lives of thousands of people for years to come.

MOVING FORWARD &

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

Our capital campaign commitment over the next three years represents a sacrificial gift – the giving up of something you might otherwise have spent this money on in order to make possible these spaces where people’s lives will be changed. This is a gift over and above your annual giving, which supports the ministry of the church.

Our hope is that many who committed last year when we started our campaign will continue their pledge for the next three years. We hope some will increase their pledge and that those who have not yet participated in this campaign will join us in this effort.

NOT EQUAL GIFTS,

BUT EQUAL SACRIFICE

God has blessed and used Morning Star to change lives, transform communities and renew the church for the past 30 years. Hundreds of people have found a community here where they are growing in their faith on a journey to know, love, and serve God. This is just the beginning, and we are committed to finishing what we started with the right tools to be a welcoming and vital church for generations to come. Each of us is here because sacrificial gifts were made to build a place where people would become committed followers of Jesus Christ who are equipped and inspired to share their faith beyond the walls. Now we have the opportunity to do this for others.

As you approach your commitment,

  • Begin with prayer, asking God for guidance and discernment.

  • Consider what a sacrificial gift might look like for you.

  • Determine the amount of your three-year commitment.

  • Decide how you will give your gift.

  • Complete your commitment card.

  • Continue to pray for your church and this capital campaign.
